Mando Diao (Swe) – Sala Apolo/Barcelona

It must have been the summer of 2005 when I went for the first time to Southside Festival/Germany.
There were only a few smaller festivals in Austria at this moment, and Southside Festival had this AMAZING line up.
So we packed my van and went on a 11 hours ride to see the “creme de la creme” of Alternative Music- & Rock Bands.

MANDO DIAO was one of this highlights. (“Bring`Em In” & “Hurrican Bar” were on our speakers all the time)
I remember their show very well, I was blown away and somewhere on my toilet wall you can still find a lyrical memory of this moments.

If someone would have told me in 2005 that 13 years later I would get the chance to work with them, it would have been way to big for my imagination.

The moment when I entered Sala Apolo last nite and saw my poster hanging on their merchandise booth, super promoted and in the middle of their other stuff, it blew my mind for a second.

I am very thankful for all the support in posterart and creativity they gave me!

Unfortunately Barcelona is not the best city to do a poster for – at least it seems that people don’t appreciate this type of art.
